With online education coming under severe scrutiny of late, the most important factor that seems to be coming up is the accreditation of the the Institution or college offering that online course.

As per the faculty of the University of Phoenix online , which is one of the nation’s largest institution for online learning , which has had more than 4000 people graduating from it since 1994, awarding associates, bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in diverse disciplines covering nursing, business, legal and Information technology , UOP had over 70,000  students enrolled in September , both for online and also for campus programs. They have been accredited since 1989 and have maintained the same accreditation as major universities.
